Fleurs De Villes Edmonton at Southgate Center
I don't know where to start with this event (last night I started with the wine & chicken though) because everything was beyond perfect. I have a serious love affair with florals - mostly when they're dead and dry - and these floral mannequins summed up the beauty and creativity that floral designers share with us.
About Fleurs De Villes
Their name, flowers of the cities, says it all. They combine their love of flowers and community to create floral displays like you've never seen before. There's so much to admire about anyone in the business of connecting people.
They will be at Southgate Center in Edmonton from May 31st to June 3rd and if you're able to swing it, you can make an afternoon of the mall to see the floral glory for yourself.
I dragged my pal Breanne out (@breannemariephoto - she's pretty cool) for the previewing on May 30th and we grabbed a glass of wine and got to browsing.
Everyone was given a sheet to vote on their favorite (and the chance to win a prize) and we made a few rounds checking it all out between the snacks.
It was great to see such a widespread collaboration between floral designers and local businesses to create the mannequin displays. If someone ever let me get a hold of that many flowers, I have zero guarantee I'd whip something up as cool as the creations I saw last night.
Below are a peek at what everyone created - I was blown away by the detail that went into all of these!

The night was great and I had a chance to meet some fabulous humans and marvel at other people's ability to actually put together rockin' floral outfits. I'm looking forward to all the events this summer has to offer and glad I kicked off spring with this one. Check out my instagram, @kaespo to see what projects I'm taking on!
